Mindful Marketing Leadership

Some say marketing can do no wrong, while others claim it can do no right. Having worked in and taught marketing throughout my career, I've seen that marketing is positive when practiced according to its core tenet: the creation of mutually beneficial exchange.

Unfortunately, I also
 see instances in which certain marketers stray from that mandate and fail to give value for consumers, or they do worse. Likewise, there are cases in which narrowly-focused marketing negatively impacts secondary stakeholders and society as a whole.

I began Mindful Marketing because I care about the field but even more about the people it impacts. I also know there are many other "mindful" people who share these commitments. By encouraging marketing that's both effective and ethical, we can make a profound impact on marketing and our world.
