Mindful Marketing Leadership
Some people say that marketing can do no wrong, while others claim it can do no right. Having grown up in a family business and practiced and taught marketing throughout my career, I have seen that marketing is positive and constructive when practiced according to its core tenet: the creation of mutually beneficial exchange.
Unfortunately, I also have seen instances in which certain marketing strays from its core and fails to produce value for consumers. Likewise, there are cases in which narrowly-focused marketing negatively impacts other stakeholders and on our society as a whole.
I began Mindful Marketing because I care about marketing and everyone it impacts and because I know there are many other "mindful" people who share these commitments. By identifying and encouraging marketing that both creates stakeholder value and upholds societal values we can make a difference in marketing and in our world.
